Come and visit us. We would love to make you a cup of tea and show off our preschool.

How to apply
Wow! We are so excited you want your child to join the fun. In order to apply for a place at Polstead Preschool you will need to follow our registration process.

Offers
When there are places available an offer will be made. A deposit will be requested when an offer is accepted. All children will be offered between 2 and 5 sessions per week.

Settling in
When you first introduce your child to independent play without the direct support of parents it can be a traumatic time. Every child is different; some immediately enjoy their new-found independence while others need more time and attention in this phase.
A key element to preparing a child for a new setting is to do short visits before the formal start date. This acquaints the child with the physical environment and, more importantly, with the adults and children they will be spending their days with. Trial sessions are highly encouraged before registration and, if needed, after a place has been accepted. Our Settling In Guidance will help get your child off to a great start.

Waiting list
Once your registration has been approved your child will be allocated a position on our waiting list. Regular email updates will remind you of your registration details and keep you informed on any changes to the waiting list.

Notice
A term's notice is required (in writing) if leaving the preschool OR reducing the number of sessions. Children's last days must coincide with the last day of the relevant term. Please note that if you need to leave mid-term you will still be billed to the end of the term.
